Billing & Credits

Understand the credit system, manage subscriptions, and track usage

FixPanic uses a flexible credit-based billing system that gives you granular control over your spending.

How Billing Works

Credit System

Credits are the currency of FixPanic. You use credits to:

  • Run agents (based on runtime)
  • Access premium features
  • Use advanced AI models

Wallet

Your Wallet holds your balance of credits. Credits come from:

Viewing Your Balance

Find your credit balance in several places:

  1. Dashboard Overview - Credit balance widget at the top
  2. Settings > Billing - Detailed billing dashboard
  3. Wallet History - Complete transaction ledger

Credit Consumption

Agent Runtime

Credits are consumed based on agent runtime:

Credits Used = Active Agent Hours × Rate per Hour

Tip: Pausing agents when not in use is a great way to save credits!

Usage Tracking

Monitor your usage in Settings > Billing > Usage:

  • Daily breakdown - Credits consumed per day
  • Per-agent usage - Which agents consume the most
  • Projected usage - Estimated monthly consumption

FixPanic offers several subscription tiers:

Upgrading/Downgrading

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing > Subscription
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount.

Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of your billing period. Ensure you're within the new plan's limits.

Topping Up Credits

Need more credits before your monthly grant?

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Wallet
  2. Click "Top Up Credits"
  3. Select the amount
  4. Complete payment

Credits are added instantly after payment.

Transaction History

View all billing activity in Settings > Billing > History:

Exporting History

Download your transaction history for accounting:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > History
  2. Set the date range
  3. Click "Export CSV"

Payment Methods

Adding a Payment Method

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods
  2. Click "Add Payment Method"
  3. Enter your card details (secured by Stripe)
  4. Click "Save"

Supported Payment Methods

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • Bank transfers (Enterprise plans)

Updating Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods
  2. Click the edit icon on your current method
  3. Update the details
  4. Click "Save"

Invoices

Viewing Invoices

Access your invoices in Settings > Billing > Invoices:

  • Download PDF invoices
  • View payment status
  • Access payment receipts

Invoice Details

Each invoice includes:

  • Billing period
  • Credit usage breakdown
  • Subscription charges
  • Top-up purchases
  • Tax information (if applicable)

Troubleshooting

"Insufficient Credits" Error

This error appears when you try to deploy an agent without enough credits.

Solutions:

  1. Check your wallet balance in Settings > Billing
  2. Wait for your monthly subscription grant
  3. Top up your balance
  4. Pause unused agents to reduce consumption

Payment Failed

If a payment fails:

  1. Check that your card details are correct
  2. Ensure sufficient funds are available
  3. Contact your bank if the issue persists
  4. Try an alternative payment method

Credit Discrepancy

If your credit balance seems incorrect:

  1. Review the transaction history
  2. Check for any pending charges
  3. Contact support with:
    • Your account email
    • The transaction in question
    • Expected vs. actual balance

Cost Optimization Tips

Monitor Usage

  • Enable usage alerts to be notified when approaching limits
  • Review per-agent consumption regularly
  • Identify and address runaway costs

Pause Inactive Agents

Paused agents don't consume runtime credits.

Right-size Your Plan

  • Start with a smaller plan and upgrade as needed
  • Use the projected usage feature to plan ahead
  • Consider annual plans for discounts

Use Alerts

Set up billing alerts in Settings > Notifications:

  • Credit balance threshold
  • Daily usage spike
  • Approaching plan limits

Enterprise Billing

Enterprise customers have additional options:

  • Custom pricing - Volume discounts
  • Invoiced billing - NET-30/60 terms
  • Dedicated support - Billing assistance
  • Custom contracts - Tailored agreements
