Troubleshooting problems with the FixPanic web dashboard

This page covers common issues with the FixPanic dashboard at app.fixpanic.com.

Login Problems

Cannot Sign In

Symptoms: Login fails with error message or doesn't redirect.

Solutions:

  1. Verify credentials:

    • Check email spelling
    • Ensure password is correct
    • Check Caps Lock is off
  2. Try password reset: Click "Forgot Password" and follow the email instructions.

  3. Check email verification: Some accounts require email verification. Check your inbox (and spam folder).

  4. Clear browser cache:

    • Clear cookies for app.fixpanic.com
    • Try incognito/private mode

OAuth Login Fails

Symptoms: Google or GitHub login doesn't complete.

Solutions:

  1. Ensure popup blocker allows popups from app.fixpanic.com
  2. Try a different browser
  3. Check that you're not blocking third-party cookies
  4. Verify your OAuth account email matches your FixPanic account

Session Expired

Symptoms: Suddenly logged out or "Session expired" message.

Solutions:

  • Log in again (sessions expire after inactivity)
  • Check if you're logged in on multiple devices
  • Clear browser cookies and try again

Loading Issues

Dashboard Won't Load

Symptoms: Blank page, spinning loader, or error message.

Solutions:

  1. Check internet connection: Try loading other websites.

  2. Check status page: Visit status.fixpanic.com for outages.

  3. Clear browser cache:

    • Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
    • Or clear cache in browser settings
  4. Try a different browser: Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Edge.

  5. Disable browser extensions: Ad blockers or privacy extensions may interfere.

Slow Performance

Symptoms: Dashboard is sluggish or unresponsive.

Solutions:

  1. Check your internet speed
  2. Close unnecessary browser tabs
  3. Disable unnecessary browser extensions
  4. Try a different browser
  5. Check status page for known issues

Cluster Issues

Can't Create Cluster

Symptoms: "Create Cluster" fails or shows error.

Solutions:

Cluster Shows Unhealthy

Symptoms: Cluster health is red or "Unhealthy".

Diagnostic Steps:

  1. Check agent on server:

    fixpanic agent status
  2. Verify agent is running:

    sudo systemctl status fixpanic-connectivity-layer
  3. Check connectivity:

    nc -zv socket.fixpanic.com 9000
  4. Restart agent if needed:

    sudo fixpanic agent restart

Can't Delete Cluster

Symptoms: Delete button disabled or shows error.

Solution: Remove all agents first:

  1. Go to cluster detail page
  2. Delete all agents in the cluster
  3. Return to cluster settings
  4. Click Delete Cluster

Agent Issues

Agent Not Showing in Dashboard

Symptoms: Installed agent doesn't appear in the Agents list.

Solutions:

  1. Verify installation succeeded:

    fixpanic agent status
  2. Check credentials match: Ensure the agent-id matches your cluster.

  3. Wait a moment: It may take up to 30 seconds for new agents to appear.

  4. Refresh the dashboard: Press F5 or click refresh.

Agent Status Not Updating

Symptoms: Agent status in dashboard doesn't reflect reality.

Solutions:

  • Refresh the page
  • Check status page for delays
  • Wait for next heartbeat (30 seconds)

Agent Failed to Deploy

Symptoms: Agent shows "Failed" status.

Check dashboard for error details, then:

  1. View agent logs in dashboard
  2. Check server logs via CLI
  3. Verify server meets requirements
  4. Check for resource constraints

Billing Issues

Insufficient Credits Error

Symptoms: Operations fail with "Insufficient credits".

Solutions:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Check wallet balance
  3. Click "Top Up" to add credits
  4. Or wait for monthly subscription grant

Payment Failed

Symptoms: Payment doesn't process.

Solutions:

  1. Verify card details are correct
  2. Check card isn't expired
  3. Ensure sufficient funds
  4. Contact your bank if needed
  5. Try a different payment method

Missing Subscription Grant

Symptoms: Monthly credits not appearing.

Solutions:

  • Check billing cycle date in Settings
  • Verify subscription is active
  • Contact support if grant is overdue

Display Issues

Broken Layout

Symptoms: Elements overlapping, missing, or misaligned.

Solutions:

  1. Clear browser cache
  2. Disable browser zoom (set to 100%)
  3. Try different browser
  4. Report if issue persists

Missing Data

Symptoms: Tables or charts show no data.

Solutions:

  • Verify you have created clusters/agents
  • Check date range filters
  • Refresh the page
  • Check for JavaScript errors (F12 > Console)

Dark Mode Issues

Symptoms: Colors wrong or hard to read.

Solutions:

  1. Toggle dark mode off and on
  2. Clear cache
  3. Check browser color settings
  4. Report specific issues

Notification Issues

Not Receiving Notifications

Symptoms: No browser or email notifications.

Solutions:

  1. Check notification settings: Settings > Notifications > Enable desired notifications

  2. Allow browser notifications: Check browser permissions for app.fixpanic.com

  3. Check email spam folder: Add [email protected] to contacts

Too Many Notifications

Solutions:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Disable notification types you don't need
  3. Set up notification schedules/quiet hours
